Trail #259 Langille Ridge
This trail is open to motorcycle, hiker, horse and bicycle use.

The Langille Ridge Trail can be accessed from Forest Road 2809, Rough Trail #283, or Boundary Trail #1. From the north end, the trail begins on Forest Road 2809and heads steadily up the ridge through dense stands for 2 miles. The trail skirts Langille Peak and opens onto the ridgeline. The trail passes a small spring and pond before tying into McCoy Peak (at 5 miles). McCoy Peak Trail #259A is a short, primitive trail that is hard to follow at times. After the junction, Langille Ridge Trail drops into a noble fir and hemlock forest to the junction of Rough Trail #283. The trail continues on past Holdaway Butte before intersecting with Boundary Trail #1. The trail was named after Jim Langille, a prospector here during the early 1900s.
Special Conditions: Steep with exposures. The ridgetop trail has no water sources so bring plenty of water.
