This trail runs between the Siouxon and Huffman Peak Trail. Views of the 50 foot high Chinook Creek Waterfall and a climb through old growth forest are attractions on the Chinook Trail. There is no bridge over Chinook Creek and fording the creek can be difficult during high water.

General Information


From Amboy, Washington, take Forest Road 54 and drive nine miles and take a left on Forest Road 57. Drive rouhgly 1 mile to gravel pit and go left on Forest Road 5701. There are two trailheads for the Siouxon trail: the first one at mile marker 1 is for horse trailers; the second at the end of the road, roughly another 3 miles does not accomdate horse trailers. Hike the Siouxon Trail for about 3.5 miles to the junction with the Chinook Creek Trail.
