Trail #29 Placid Lake
This Trail Open to Hiker and Equestrian Use.
This heavily used trail begins on the northwest side of Indian Heaven Wilderness. Placid Lake, meadows, wildflowers, and a small lake are features along this trail.
This heavily used trail begins on the northwest side of Indian Heaven Wilderness. It travels southeast through large timber. Just before Placid Lake (4,042 feet elevation), the trail enters the wilderness and continues for 0.5 mile before intersecting with the Chenamus Lake Trail #29A. Placid Lake Trail continues up the west slopes of Bird Mountain to a high meadow, where it ends on the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail #2000.

General Information
Directions:From Carson, WA take Wind River Road/Forest Road 30 north for about 31 miles. Then turn right onto the 420 spur road and follow for about a mile to Placid Lake Trailhead.
Trail can be accessed from Forest Road 30-420 or Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail #2000.
