Gila National Forest
Cool Mountain weather on a hot summer day.
The campground is an ideal area to escape the summer heat. There are wonderful birding and wildlife watching opportunities in this area.
Reserve is the closes town with all amenities. The Negrito Fire Base offers the closest pay phone. And the campground at Snow Lake is the closest place to get potable water.
Night temperatures may drop suddenly. Please be properly equipped.
Access the campground from Reserve due to the Bear fire and flooding of 2006. Use FR 119 and FR 153 to access Willow Creek from Reserve.
Driving directions to Ben Lilly from Glenwood (in addition to Reserve), take Hwy. 180 3 miles north of Glenwood, turn right on State 159 to Mogollon, turn right on FR 507 – 31 miles from Glenwood.

There are seven developed sites each equipped with a fire ring.
NM Game and Fish stocks Willow Creek with Trout two to three times a year. Water has been rather low in the last few years.
There are some nice hiking opportunities here.
This area is home to many bird species and diverse wildlife, including elk, deer and turkey.
