Directions:From Ouray:
Travel south on Hwy 550 for approximately one mile to the Amphitheater Campground. Turn left onto the campground access road and continue on the paved road for approximately 1.25 miles. Stay left at the fork and continue to the trail parking area. A map shows the inter-connecting trail system. Follow the Upper Cascade Falls Trail #213 for approximately 0.2 miles to its intersection with the Portland Creek Trail #238. Follow the Portland Creek Trail for approximately 2 miles to its intersection and the beginning of the Portland Mine Trail.
