Middle Fork Bear Canyon #654

The Middle Fork Bear Canyon Trail #654 begins in open aspen and ponderosa at a fairly level grade.  After crossing and open aspen stand, it begins to descend into the Middle Fork Bear Canyon drainage at a moderate grade.  The trail follows the drainage and crossed a small rocky stream before reaching a barb-wire gate and fenceline.  It continues down the Middle Fork Bear Canyon on a pretty steep hillside and enters a small meadow in open aspen near the drainage bottom.  The trail can be easily lost while crossing the meadow and comes to an end at the intersection with the Unaweep Trail #601.
