Ute Creek #608
The Ute Creek Trail #608 descends at a slight grade heading due west on the south side of the Indian Creek drainage. It crosses the creek and passes through a fenceline at the edge of a meadow. The trail then crosses a branch of Indian Creek and heads south down the main fork before climbing onto a bench above the Creek where it levels out. Leonard's Ridge is visible directly ahead in the southwest. It then descends toward the western most branch of the Indian Creek. The trail is severely eroded in this section due to the steep grade and is steep, and rocky. Before reaching Cow Creek, the trail enters oakbrush where it is over grown and eventually crosses Cow Creek. It crosses another branch of Cow Creek just as it enteres the edge of a ponderosa plantation. A large sage meadow will become visible to the south and a ponderosa plantation will become visible in the basin to the north/northeast. The trail comes to an end at the edge of a small draw which is a fork of Calamity Creek.
