Boundary Cutoff #526
The Boundary Cutoff Trail #526 serves as a connecting route between the Sheep Creek Road, FSR #281, and the Boundary Trail #525 on the Grand Mesa/White River National Forest Boundary. The trail climbs up the South Sheep Creek drainage at a moderate grade through a mixture of sagebrush, serviceberry, snowberry, oakbrush, and aspen. It comes to an end at the intersection with the Boundary Trail #525 beneath the powerline at the forest boundary.

Directions:UPPER ACCESS:
Travel east on Highway 330 from the Plateau Creek Bridge in Collbran 16 miles to the Grand Mesa National Forest boundary where Hwy 330 becomes Silt Road, FSR #270. Continue travelling an additional 4.3 miles on FSR #270 to the Colo-Ute Powerline Road, FSR #264 which forks right (south) off FSR #270 just before the Grand Mesa/White River National Forest Boundary. Turn right on FSR #264 and travel 0.12 miles to the Boundary Northern Trailhead. The Boundary Cutoff Upper Trailhead is located 2.22 miles to the south of the Boundary Northern Trailhead.
LOWER ACCESS:
Travel east 14.2 miles on Highway 330 from the Plateau Creek Bridge in Collbran to its intersection with Buzzard Divide Road, FSR #265. Turn right on FSR #265 and travel 2.4 miles to its intersection with Sheep Creek Road, FSR #281. Turn left on FSR #281 and travel north 1.9 miles to its intersection with South Sheep Creek Road, FSR #281.1A This intersection is the location of the Boundary Cutoff Lower Trailhead.
