At a Glance

Rentals & Guides: A trail kit which includes binoculars, bird identification book, and a cassette tape that corresponds with trail markers is available for rent from the campground host at Au Train Campground, from A&L Grocery, or from the AU Train Grocery in Au Train. The tape guides you along the trail and features twenty bird species. The best time to hear the woodland concert is in the morning when the birds are host active, but you can walk the trail any time of the day.

Directions:

From the intersection of County Highway 3 and M-28 in Au Train drive south 4.2 miles on County Highway 3 to FR2276. Turn left (east) and drive 0.7 mile to FR2596. Turn left (north) and drive 1.4 miles to campground.
