Petes Lake Campground Site Map

Pete`s Lake campground is surrounded by many lakes and offers much in the way of camping, hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, boating, and picnicking. All roads are black topped (perfect for bike riding). The Campground boasts a large Day Use Area with two picnic areas, a swimming beach, and an accessible fishing pier. Link to Campground Map

Current Conditions: Open May 15 thru October 1
Fees Fees: Site Fees range from $16 to $21 per night. Federal Recreation Passes (Golden/America the Beautiful) are accepted. Some of these sites are reservable. Reservations are made on the National Recreation Reservation System (NRRS). To check availability of the campsites or to make a reservation, call 877-444-6777 or go to www.recreation.gov.

General Information

Directions:

From the intersection of M-28 and Forest Highway 13 just east of Munising drive south 10.4 miles to FR 2173. Turn left (east) on FR 2173 and drive 0.4 mile to the campground road. Turn right (south) and drive to Pete's Lake Campground.

Boating - Motorized

The boat ramp has a large parking lot as well as a turn-around area for safe and easy access to the lake.

Swimming

The 190-acre lake is clean and clear and the swimming area has a beautiful sandy beach. There are restrooms available, as well as a large conveniently located parking lot. Lifeguards are not present. Children should be accompanied in the water by an adult at all times.
