Sand Lake Recreation Area is the only public access on this lake. The ownership around the lake is primarily private. The beach is sandy and clean, but further out the lake bottom becomes mucky. The lake is mostly shallow, with a few deeper areas. The campsites are open within the wooded area.
This campground is open May 5, 2016 to Sept. 11, 2016. Campground gated when closed. Reservations needed May 5 to Sept. 11.

Special Use Permit -
No special use permit is required for individuals or small groups (74 people or less).
