The Caberfae Snowmobile Trail is located in Wexford, Lake and Mason Counties.

A Michigan Snowmobile Permit is required for all snowmboiles on National Forest System lands. See the MI-DNRE website for information on how to obtain a permit.
Special Use Permit -
No special use permit is required for individuals or small groups (74 people or less).
Permits are required for commercial, event or large groups (75 people or more).
Visit the Passes and Permits section for more information on obtaining a special use permit. Snowmobile Permit - Snowmobiles must display a valid permit as required by State law. Permits may be obtained from the State of Michigan.
