Bluegill Loop

  

This campground loop is a shady campground with 51 tent and trailer sites. About a third of the sites are electric and 16 are walkin sites. This area includes a playground for children and a fishing pond.

Reservations: Reservations are made by calling 1-877-444-6777 (TTY is 1-877-833-6777) April 15 through September 30. There is a $10 reservation fee and a cancellation fee. Reservation information is available at: http://www.recreation.gov.
Fees Camping fees are $20 for non-electric sites, and $27 for electric sites or sites which have both electricity and water. One vehicle is included in site fees. Extra vehicles are $5/day each. With the America the Beautiful senior and access passports a single family non electric site is $10, and an electric site is $17. Campers are exempt from the requirement for a daily parking permit but must display their camping permits in their front window when they pass the gatehouse.  Reservations for campground sites are made by calling the National Reservation System at 1-877-444-6777 (TTY is 1-877-833-6777) April 15 through September 30. The fee for making and cancelling reservations is $10. Reservation information is available at: http://www.recreation.gov. If not previously reserved, occupancy is on a first come basis.

Restrictions: Check in for sites is 2:00 pm. Check out is 12:00 pm. Keep pets on a leash and clean up after them. Firearm use is prohibited in the campground. Put all garbage in the dumpster and do not feed wild animals. Limit vehicles to 2 vehicles/site and stay on hard surfaces. Other rules are posted on the bulletin board. No hardwood firewood may be brought in to the campgrounds unless it has been certified by the USDA or IDNR.

Bluegill Loop is generally open in the summer months but is closed in winter months, though other loops will be open. A maximum of 2 vehicles and 8 people are allowed per site.
