The Oriole East Trail

This 6.5 mile trail is designated for hiking, horse riding and mountain biking. The trail winds through scenic hardwood forests. It connects to the adjacent 7.2 mile Oriole West Trail.

General Information

Directions: Take I-64 to IN 237/IN 66 west (Exit 86). Go south on IN 66 west four miles to Jeffries Cemetery. Look for a small Hoosier National Forest sign on the right side of the road. Turn left into the parking area next to Jeffries Cemetery. Park there or go across the road at Oriole Pond. Coordinates are: Lat- 38o 11' 6.971"N Long- 86o 29' 22.662"W

Horse Riding

This 6.5 mile trail is designated for hiking, horse riding and mountain biking. The trail winds through scenic hardwood forests. It connects to the adjacent 7.2 mile Oriole West Trail for a longer ride. One and three tenths mile of this trail is a straight trail that leads to a five mile loop, with a tag trail that goes down to a the county road.
