White Mountain Ranger Station Visitor Center

The White Mountain Ranger Station and Visitor Center is located in Bishop at 798 N Main Street.  Look for Smokey Bear at the entrance to our parking lot.

The Visitor Center provides public lands information for the US Forest Service, the National Park Service and the BLM.

Eastern Sierra Interpertative Association book store rents bear cans for food storage, sells maps, books and other interesting items.

Operational Hours: Summer, May 1 - Nov 1: 7 days per week 8am-5pm, Closed during lunch on Sundays.
Winter, Nov 2 - April 30: Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm, closed for lunch 12:00-1:00
Rentals & Guides: A list is available for packers and guides licensed to operate on the Inyo National Forest.
