Treasure Lakes Trail

Starting at South Lake, the trail is combined with the Bishop Pass trail until the first trail junction. Treasure Lakes trail goes to a beautiful, less visited, granite basin surrounded by talus slopes at the foot of Mount Thompson, Mount Goode and Hurd Peak.

Treasure Lakes trail does not include Bishop Pass or access to the John Muir Trail. This is an active bear area so you must use bear canisters to secure your food and refuse.

If you are looking for the Treasure Lakes near Mt Dade and Bear Creek Spire, go to Little Lakes Valley.
