This small campground along Rock Creek features 8 campsites in the tall Jeffrey Pines.  Some sites are flat for easier accessibility. All sites are first come first served.

At a Glance

Operational Hours: Major reconstruction activities will be taking place on Rock Creek Road for the duration of the 2014 and 2015 seasons.  While the road will remain open to traffic throughout the project, visitors may experience delays of up to 30 minutes.  Additionally, at certain times, the road may need to be closed for longer periods of time, Monday through Friday.

Restrictions: Dogs on leash only. Maximum stay 7 days. Active bear area. All food must be secured overnight and when not attended, bear boxes are provided and must be used (typical bear box size 48" x 30" x 36").  Always keep a clean camp and do not feed animals, squirrels and rodents.  Fires permitted only in fireplaces provided.

General Information

Directions:

From Bishop take US Hwy 395 north to Tom's Place.  Or, from Mammoth Lakes go south on 395 to Tom's Place. Turn west on Rock Creek Lake Rd and go approximately 8 miles to the campground on the left.


Parking:

Parking at Upper Pine Grove is limited and large trailers and motorhomes are not recommended.
