Convict Creek Trail
After following the north shore of Convict Lake, this rugged, steep trail climbs a steep, v-shaped canyon with several exposed sections. Within 1.5 miles from the trail's start, sections of the trail have been washed out by flash flooding in 2012 and 2016. Laurel Canyon trail provides alternate access to the upper canyon.
Hikers should be prepared for hazardous stream crossings and rough terrain on this trail.

General Information
Directions:Leave Hwy 395 just south of the Mammoth Airport and follow Convict Lake Road. The trailhead starts near the outflow of Convict Lake and follows the North shore. Additional trailhead parking is available near the resort pack station corral.
Activities
Lake and Pond Fishing
Lakes above Convict Canyon hold Brook Trout, Lake Dorothy and Mildred have both Brook and Rainbow Trout.
River and Stream Fishing
Streams in this area have mostly Brook Trout, Between Lake Dorothy and Mildred there are Brook and Rainbow Trout.
