Horseshoe Meadow Equestrian Camp


Area Status: Closed

Horseshoe Meadow Equestrian Camp has 10 drive-in campsites with a corral and hitch rail at each site. Cottonwood Pass, Cottonwood Lakes and Trail Pass Trails provide access to Golden Trout, John Muir and Sequoia National Park Wilderness areas. This area is characterized by rolling terrain and sub-alpine meadows.

General Information

Directions:

Located near the end of Horseshoe Meadow Road, 24 miles southwest of the town of Lone Pine, California.

From Highway 395 at the center of Lone Pine, turn west on Whitney Portal Road (the only stoplight in town). Follow Whitney Portal Road for 3 miles, then turn south onto Horseshoe Meadow Road. The Equestrian Camp, Pack Station, and Cottonwood Lakes Trailhead are to the right.
