There is no heat, furniture, water or cooking facilities. There is an outhouse nearby. Plan for camping minus the tent. 

Access to Lunch Peak Lookout is by primitive dirt road. High clearance vehicles are recommended.

From Sandpoint take Hwy 200 east approx. 12 miles to Trestle Creek Rd. 275; turn left onto Rd. 275 and go 12 miles to Lunch Peak Rd. 1091; turn left onto Rd. 275 and go 12 miles to Lunch Peak Rd. 1091; turn left onto 1091 and go 4 miles to Lunch Peak.

Cabin Rentals

Lunch Peak Lookout is located approximately 35 miles northeast of Sandpoint, Idaho in the Cabinet Mountains on Lunch Peak at elevation 6414'. The road that leads to the lookout is a well-maintained road, but high clearance vehicles are recommended. The 15' x 15' cabin was remodeled in 2001 and sits atop a 13' high cinder block foundation. There are no furnishings, heat or water. Panoramic views of Lake Pend Oreille, the Selkirk Mountains and the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness. A modern vault toilt is located at the Pend Oreille Divide trailhead, 300 feet away.
