Curly Jack Campground

On the banks of the Klamath River, Curly Jack Campground is within walking distance to Happy Camp. There are 16 sites on a paved loop under the trees along  the Klamath River.

Camping on the Klamath River in Happy Camp.  This campsite is shady and picturesque.  Many sites with a view of the river.

Curly Jack Campground welcomes RV's for scenic, shady camping on the Klamath River in Happy Camp.  Limited amenities are available.

River and Stream Fishing

Easy access to the river from the campground.

Do not clean fish in the river.  Please dispose of all fish guts in the garbage cans or pack them out if no cans are available.

Parking for Day Use anglers is in the Day Use area only.

A current CA Fishing License is required to fish the Klamath River.


Special Designations Regulations for the Salmon, Scott and Klamath Rivers are published in May each year in "Freshwater & Ocean Sport Fishing Supplement" by the CA Dept of Fish and Game.

Parking

Non-Campers, please use the Day Use parking whenever possible to allow campsites to remain available for campers.


Permits & Regulations

Dogs on leash only.  Please clean up after your dog.  Do not allow dogs to chase, hunt or kill forest animals and birds.  All hunting in the National Forest is regulated by the CA Dept of Fish and Game. 


Safety Information

Feeding wild animals is dangerous to humans and unhealthy for the animals.  Always observe animals and birds from a safe distance.

There is one Day Use picnic site adjacent to Curly Jack Campground.  Day Use is not permitted in the campsites.

Scenic Driving

Located in Happy Camp, this is where the State of Jefferson Scenic Byway and the Bigfoot Scenic Byway meet. The Curly Jack Campground has 16 shady sites on the banks of the Klamath River.

On the banks of the Klamath River, Curly Jack Campground is within walking distance to Happy Camp. There are 16 sites on a paved loop under the trees on the banks of the Klamath River.  There is walk in access to the river for light weight boats.
