Lake Alva Campground

  

Situated at the north end of Lake Alva, this campground offers a chance to camp out and enjoy lake activities such as swimming, fishing and boating. There are also wildlife and bird watching opportunities here, and it is 15 miles to the Mission Mountain Wilderness. All boats on Lake Alva must operate at a “no-wake” speed year-round.

General Information

Directions: From the town of Seeley Lake, travel 11 miles north on Montana highway 83. The campground is on the west side of the highway, at the north end of Lake Alva.
General Notes: Concrete boat launch and boat trailer parking are available. On-site volunteer campground host. 11 miles to groceries, gas, and sports equipment rentals. Law enforcement patrols. 2 designated picnic areas with tables and fire rings. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring. Garbage dumpsters and recycling bins on-site. Some handicap accessible vault toilets available.

Group Camping

#42 has approximately 5 vehicle parking spaces (based on head-in or diagonal parking; parking area dimensions 55 feet wide and 24 feet deep with a 52-foot pad) and about 3 tent spaces. Parking is limited so please plan accordingly. A maximum of 25 people are allowed. Amenities at the site include: 1 group picnic table and fire ring. #43 has approximately 6 vehicle parking spaces (based on head-in or diagonal parking; parking area dimensions 75 feet wide and 22 feet deep) with about 4 tent spaces. Parking is limited so please plan accordingly. A maximum of 25 people are allowed. Amenities at the site include: 1 group picnic table and fire ring.
