On Crescent Creek, this site offers opportunities for fishing and picnicking. The campground is rustic, with older facilities. The campground is a great base for those wishing to visit the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness, hike, hunt or just explore. Wildlife viewing is excellent at Crescent campground from small creatures such as chipmunks and squirrels to larger animals such as deer coming to the creek to drink. Many varieties of birds are seen in the area as well as beautiful wildflowers during late spring and early summer.

From the town of Prairie City, OR., turn onto South Main Street, follow the South Main Street to the junction with Bridge Street. Turn left onto Bridge Street and follow past the cemetary, the road then becomes County Road 62. Follow County Road 62 approximately 17 miles the campground will be on the right.
The area is abundant with wildlife, visitors to the area have the opportunity to see many animals ranging from Rocky Mountain Elk and mule deer to a wide variety of birds and smaller animals such as squirrels and chipmunks.
Ponderosa pine trees create a beautiful shade in the campground. In late spring through the summer visitors can enjoy beautiful varities of wildflowers and other plants.
