Trout Farm Trail #370
The trail is located around Trout Farm Pond. Visitors can enjoy a short hike around the pond. The asphalt portion of the trail starts near the parking area and ends at a pad with a picnic table. The trail continues around the pond as a narrow gravel path.

Current Conditions: | Winter snowpack damaged the footbridge on the trail beyond repair. The trail is still open but the bridge is closed until replaced. Visitors should be prepared for rapidly changing weather conditions. Please remember that if you pack it in, please pack it out with you. |

General Information
Directions:From Prairie City, OR., turn onto South Main Street. Follow South Main Street to the junction with Bridge Street. Turn left onto Bridge Street, follow past the local cemetary. The road then becomes County Road 62. Follow County Road 62 for approximately 15 miles to Trout Farm Campground.

There are asphalt platforms that jut out into the stocked pond to fish from.

Day Hiking
This easy hike has plenty of opportunities for fishing.Viewing Wildlife
Wildlife viewing is excellent in the area, visitors can see a wide range of animals from big game to small birds. Big game animals such as Rocky Mountain Elk and mule deer are prominent in the area. At this campground visitors will see a wide variety of birds from waterfowl in the spring to woodpeckers and magpies. Smaller creatures call the campground and surrounding area home as well, such as squirrels and chipmunks.
