Potters Pond Campground


Potters Pond Campground is located in a high mountain valley next to two sparkling ponds at an elevation of 8,900 feet. Pines and grasses cover the area, and aspens dot the surrounding mountainsides. The ponds offer great fishing for rainbow trout, with scenic views from the shore.

Reservations:   campsites are not available for reservation until July 13, but are available on a first-come basis prior to that date.  This is to facilitate a fuels treatment project.  When burning actually occurs,  the CG may be unavailable for a time.

Restrictions: Sites #16-19 are restricted to people camping with horses.  If campers reserve the sites, but have no horses, they will be asked to move and may be sited.  ATVs allowed on designated trails, only.

Information Center: This campground has vault toilets but no electricity, water, or hookups. It is a "pack it in, pack it out site", so all trash must be removed upon departure. Some sites have views of the ponds, and most of the sites are shaded by pines. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Roads and parking spurs are dirt. There is a campground host onsite.

General Information




From Price, Utah, travel south on US 10 for 20 miles to Huntington, Utah. Turn right onto US 31 and travel northwest for 30 miles to junction with Miller Flat Road. Turn south on Miller Flat Road and travel 11 miles to junction with Potter Canyon Road. Turn right and follow this road for less than a mile to campground.

General Notes:

This campground has 19 sites. Nine are reservable double sites and two are reservable single sites. Site #6 is a reservable group site. Double sites #8 and #10 and single site #3 are available on a first-come, first-served basis for $3.00 per vehicle. If not reserved, all reservable sites are also available at the same rate. Sites #16 through #19 are horse sites and can only be reserved by campers with horses. Site #19 is a horse double site. If horse sites are not reserved they are available on a first-come, first- serve basis to anyone for $3.00 per vehicle.


Parking is available at campsites.
