Bow River Campground

No water or trash service in October. Bow River Campground is located beside the Medicine Bow River. Facilities include 13 campsites (small trailers only), picnic tables, fire rings, drinking water, one vault toilet and trash service.   All sites are first-come-first-serve.  The Medicine Bow River, Sand Lake and Turpin Reservoir offer fishing opportunities nearby. Trails in the area include Rock Creek, Sheep Lake, and Crater Lake Trails.  ATVs can explore the Campbell Lake ATV loop after July1, approximately 9 miles south of the campground.  There is a 14 day stay limit in the campground.

It is located in the Snowy Range and is managed by the Laramie Ranger District.

General Information


From Saratoga, take WY 130 east 20.1 miles to North Brush Creek Rd/ Forest Road 100. Turn left and go 19.8 miles to the Bow River campground sign. Turn right into campground.
