This sunny campground has many young trees. Campsites are available for reservations. After Labor Day all campsites are first-come-first-serve sites and by October we close the campground gate for the winter. Reservations may be made six months in advance using the National Recreation Reservation Service toll free number, 1-877-444-6777, or on-line at www.recreation.gov. This campground is on the southeast shore of Hog Park Reservoir. The campground provides close proximity for watersports. Campground facilities include picnic tables, vault toilets, drinking water, fire grates and trash service. The maximum stay is 14 nights. Day hiking and backpacking opportunities are nearby in the Huston Park, Encampment River and Mount Zirkel Wilderness areas. There are two picnic areas are on the shoreline of Hog Park Reservoir. It is located in the Sierra Madre Range and is managed by the Brush Creek/Hayden Ranger District.

Directions: From Encampment,take WY 70 west 5.8 miles to Hog Park Reservoir sign, Forest Route 550. Turn left and go 16.2 miles to FR 496. Continue straight through intersection onto FR 496 and go 1.5 mile to FR 4961E. Turn right and go 0.7 miles to a camping sign. Turn right, cross the dam, and go 0.1 to campground.
