No services after October. Six Mile Gap Campground is 2 miles off State Highway 230 and provides easy access to the North Platte River and Platte River Wilderness. Campground has six tent sites and three pull-thru sites. Facilities include picnic tables, drinking water, toilets, fire grates, trash service and trailhead parking. There is a 14 day stay limit. A separate parking area is available for hikers and river floaters. Popular activities near this campground include floating the North Platte River and hiking the Platte River Trail.

From Encampment take Highway 230 southeast for approximately 27 miles to Forest Road #492. Turn left onto 492 and travel two miles to Six Mile Campground.
