BEGINNING IN OCTOBER - NO FEES, NO WATER, PACK OUT YOUR TRASH. Six Mile Gap Campground is located 2 miles off State Highway 230 and provides easy access to the North Platte River and Platte River Wilderness. The campground is a popular spot for river floaters, anglers, and hikers. Campground facilities include: picnic tables, toilets, drinking water, fire grates, trash service and trailhead parking. There is a 14 day stay limit. Popular activities near this campground include floating the North Platte River and hiking the Platte River Trail. Fishing opportunities can be found on the North Platte river and nearby on Big Creek and Douglas Creek.
