Williams Lake Trail 1031.1
The Williams Lake Trail is within Alpine Lakes Wilderness. It leaves Dutch Miller Gap Trail 1030 approximately 14 miles from the trailhead at Dingford Creek and winds for one mile through sub-alpine forests and meadows, ending at the Williams Lake. The trail and lake are at the base of Bear's Breast Mountain and surrounded by spectacular mountains like Summit Chief, which can make a nice reflection in Williams Lake on a windless day. Snow-melt streams and huckleberry meadows surround the lake. Boot trails to the high country abound from here.
Find excellent camping sites along the west shore of the lake and plenty of fishing opportunities as well as berry picking.
