This popular National Forest campground is situated mid-way up the lake basin along the western shore of Baker Lake, approximately 19 miles from State Route 20. Tent and trailer campsites are nestled within a forested setting on the lake. A day use picnic area offers panoramic views of the lake.
Drinking water is available but water is not for hose hookups, RV users will have to fill up somewhere else. There is a large, paved boat launch parking area at the entrance to the campground, a $5 day use fee is charged at this site for non- campground users.
During Sockeye fishing season use at the boat launch is extremely heavy and parking becomes limited. Panorama Point Campground’s gravel boat launch is not suited for large boats. It is recommended that large boat owners use the paved boat launch at nearby Swift Creek Campground.
From the Mt. Baker Ranger District office in Sedro-Woolley, WA follow State Route 20 east for 16 miles to milepost 82. Turn left (north) on the Baker Lake Highway (Forest Service Road 11). Continue for 19.2 miles on the Baker Lake Highway.
