Evans Lake Trail 1069

Area Status: Open

This beautiful little hike is perfect for introducing small children to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. The wide trail follows the outlet stream through old growth Hemlock and Douglas fir. The 11 acre lake is great for fishing and offers two campsites located at the inlet. This is one of the few lakes in the wilderness were campfires are allowed. This is an ideal trail for first time backpacking experience. Best time to enjoy the lake is late summer and early fall after mosquito season has passed.
