Gold Creek Pond Trail 1250


NOTE: There are several "Gold Creek" trails within the North Cascades visit the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest page and make sure you are visiting the correct location!

This paved accessible trail provides exceptional distant views of the Gold Creek Valley and Chikamin Peak in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. On a clear day you can see the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail traversing the headwaters of Gold Creek. This barrier-free interpretive trail loops around the pond. Enjoy beautiful views of the Gold Creek Valley and take advantage of the ample opportunities for wildlife viewing, especially in the evenings. Find a large picnic area at the pond with tables and fire grates.  Look for signs of beaver activity.  Gold Creek Trail 1314 is nearby.

General Information

Directions:

From North Bend, WA take I-90 east for about 24 miles to the Hyak exit #54. Take this exit, head north and turn right on Forest Service Road #4832 that parallels the north side of the freeway. Drive 1.0 mile, turn left on Gold Creek road #142 and turn left in 0.3 mile into the Gold Creek Pond parking lot.
