Timothy Lake- West Shore Trailhead

Timothy Lake is in the shadow of Mt. Hood. The surrounding forest setting offers scenic views, several trails for exploration, and abundant fishing. Provides access to: Timothy Lake Trail #528

Vault restroom, picnic tables, parking and informational kiosks available. There is also a non-motorized boat launch. Parking area capacity is for 20 medium-sized vehicles (vehicles over 30 feet are not permitted.)

General Information

Directions:

From Sandy, OR - travel east on Highway 26 for approximately 40 miles to Skyline Road (Forest Road 42). Turn right on Skyline Road, travel south 9 miles. Turn right on Forest Road 57, west 3.5 miles over the dam, and turn right to the Myron Blank West Shore Day Use Area.

Boating - Motorized

10 mph speed limit for motorized boats. An artificially created lake, it is one of a few lakes on the Mt. Hood National Forest that allows motorized boating.

Boating - Non-Motorized

Canoeing and boating on Timothy Lake. Boat ramps at sites located at the southern end of the lake. You can also portage to Meditation Point campground.
