Boulder Lake Trail #463
This is a strenuous hike to a beautiful alpine lake with dispersed camping available. Access to Boulder Lakeshore Trail #463B and Little Boulder Trail #463A. There are 10 tent-only campsites at Boulder Lake Campground. This is a primitive campsite. Please follow Leave No Trace principles while camping at the lake.
This trail begins at Bonney Meadows Campground (5,300’) and ends at FR 4880. From Bonney Meadows Campground, head northwest on this trail and after 0.2 mile the trail reaches Hidden Meadows Trail #472. Continue descending north on this trail 0.2 mile where the trail turns and begins to head southeast. The trail levels out slightly for the next 0.7 mile before descending 0.5 to Boulder Lake. From Boulder Lake, continue southeast 0.3 mile to Little Boulder Trail #463A. Turn left (east) and continue 0.5 miles to FR 4880 where trail ends. The trail may also be accessed from tFR 4880 east of Boulder Lake and continue on to Bonney Meadows from the lake.

General Information
Directions:From Hood River, OR head south on Highway 35 to the junction of Forest Road 48. Head southeast on Forest Road 48 to the junction with Forest Road 4890 from the left fork. Choose the left side of the fork to transfer to the Forest Road 4880. The Boulder Lake Trailhead will be on the westside of the road.
