Wildcat Mountain Trail #781F


This trail is in the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness.  Views from the ridge along Wildcat Mountain are outstanding. This is a very lightly used trail. 

This trail starts at Douglas Trail #781 (4,360’) and ends at the summit of Wildcat Mountain (4,480’).  Follow #781 1.9 miles east to the beginning of this trail.  Turn right (south) onto this trail and climb 0.1 to the summit of Wildcat Mountain.  This trail can also be accessed from McIntyre Ridge Trail #782.

General Information

Directions:
From Portland, OR - follow US Highway 26 2.4 miles to SE Firwood Rd. Turn south on SE Firwood Rd. and follow it 3.4 miles to Wildcat Mountain Dr. Turn left onto Wildcat Mountain Dr. and follow it for 6.0 miles. Continue straight onto Forest Road 36 for 2.4 miles and then continue straight onto Forest Road 3626 for 0.6 miles.  Turn right onto Forest Road 105 and follow it to the parking area near the quarry. From the quarry, follow Douglas Trail #782 east for 1.9 miles to the beginning of this trail. This trail can also be accessed from the south end of the McIntrye Ridge Trail #782
