Mt. Hood Meadows
Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort operates under a special use permit on the Mt. Hood National Forest, offering spectacular skiing and snowboarding. Meadows is a full-service winter resort. Base facilities are housed in North and South lodges (access to five lifts) and includes equipment rental and demo centers, sport shops, restaurants, adult and children's ski schools and daycare. Summer operations include scenic chair rides, guided hikes, summer camps and events.
Mt. Hood Meadows began operations in the late 1960s. The ski area now includes several runs and chair lifts, dining operations, slope-side medical center, non-snow summer operations, and the Sahale Lodge.

Directions:From Portland, OR - Take Hwy 26 east to Government Camp, then north on Hwy 35 for 10 miles to Mt. Hood Meadows.
From Hood River, OR - Take Hwy 35 for 35 miles south to the Mt. Hood Meadows entrance.

XC Skiing/Snowshoeing
Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort Nordic Center offers up to 15 kilometers of groomed and set track through wooded trails and meadows including skating and traditional striding lanes. There is no snowshoeing at the Nordic Center.
The Nordic Center is located at the Hood River Meadows parking lot, 1 mile north of the main entrance to Meadows on Highway 35. The Nordic Center is a modular building at the east end of the Hood River Meadows parking lot.
The Nordic Center is where you purchase your track fee, as well as rent equipment or arrange for cross country lessons.
