Clackamas Lake Campground

Area Status: Closed

Clackamas Lake Campground is a great camping destination, especially when nearby Timothy Lake sites are full. The lake is small and shallow, and the facility is located in the Clackamas Lake Historic District in Mt. Hood National Forest. It provides access to fishing, swimming and leisurely boating, as well as a number of trails and historic points along the way. This campground has a seasonal gate.

The corrals at Clackamas Lake Campground were constructed by Oregon Equestrian Trails (OET) volunteers in partnership with USDA Forest Service.

Reservations:	This site can be reserved online at Recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777. There are 11 equestrian sites. Equestrian sites have 2, 3, or 4 horse corrals and are reservable by those with horses.
Fees:	Camping: $25/night for single site $8/night for extra vehicle $2/night additional charge on all holidays and holiday weekends

Directions:

from Sandy, OR - travel East on Highway 26 for approximately 40 miles to Skyline Road, Road 42. Turn right onto Skyline Road(Road 42) and travel South for 10 miles to Clacamas lake entrance sighn. Turn left, travel East 1/4 to campground entrance.

Lake and Pond Fishing

Day Hiking

The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail passes right by the campground, and can be taken north to Timothy Lake and Little Crater Lake, or south through the Warm Springs Tribal Lands to the Mount Jefferson Wilderness.
