Sassafras Creek Trail #65


The Sassafras Creek Trail is an interior trail.  It starts at a junction with the Big Snowbird Trail at a sharp left hand turn, then meanders for 1.0 mile to Sassafras Falls, a noted fishing spot.  Beyond the falls, the trail continues for another 2.3 miles along Sassafras Creek, with frequent stream crossings and heavy brush.  This section is very indistinct and used only by fishermen.

Difficulty: Moderate to Strenuous

Usage: Light

Average Hiking Times: 2.5 hours.
