Badin Lake Campground

Bordering the lakeshore and under the shade of pines and hardwoods, Badin Lake Campground offers a year-round retreat for swimmers, boaters, and anglers. The campground has 35 non-electric sites for tent and camper trailer camping. Some sites are located on the lakeshore. Each site has a table, grill, lantern post, fire ring, and tent pad. There are 4 water spigots/hydrants for drinking water located in the campground. Flush toilets and hot showers are located in both the upper and lower loops.  Fee stations are located at the entrances of both loops.

Trash cans and dumpsters are provided to properly dispose of your trash.

Operational Hours: Check-in Time is 4:00 pm and Check-out Time is 2:00 pm.
Reservations: Reservations can be made online at www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777 or TDD 1-877-833-6777. Reservations need to be made at least 3 days in advance and can be made up to 240 days in advance.
Fees: Single sites are $20 per night and double sites (#6, #20, #28) are $40 per night.  Sites #17 & 19 are always first come, first serve and cannot be reserved. There is a campground host available on site #12. Senior or Access Interagency Pass Discounts are:  Single sites = $10 per night - No Discount on Double Sites.  Must have an actual Interagency Pass and Pass Number in order to receive discount on camping and the passholder must be camping on the site.

General Information

Directions:

On Hwy 109 North, go to Mullinix Rd. just past Macedonia Church. Turn left (from 109 S. turn right on to Mullinix Rd.) and continue past Horse Camp. Turn right on FR 544 for 1.8 miles, then turn Right onto FR 597 for 0.1 miles. Then turn left on FR 597A. Take the road to  the left leading to Badin Lake Campground (2 loops). Upper loop turns off to the left; lower loop is located at the end of the road.

Tent and Camper trailer camping is accomodated at this campground.  RV trailers can use this campground but there are no electrical hookups and there is no dump station.
