Campsite at Fore Lake

With 31 sites tucked in the shade of oaks and pines along shimmering Fore Lake, the Fore Lake Campground is a quiet spot for camping on the western edge of the Ocala National Forest.

Pets: Dogs are welcome on the forest, but are required to be on a leash at all times. Dogs are not allowed on the beach at swimming areas. For more information, please contact Lake George Ranger Station at 352-625-2520.

Operational Hours: Gates open 8 AM to 8 PM. If you are arriving late, call ahead to 352-625-6312 for a gate code.

Fees $12 per site per night
Permit Info: Fishing? You must have a valid Florida Freshwater Fishing License.
Restrictions: The regulations of the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission for freshwater fishing apply.
Closest Towns: A small grocery store is nearby along SR 314 in Scrambletown. Gas stations and restaurants are at Nuby's Corner headed south on SR 314, and full services in Silver Springs via SR40.

General Information


Drive 5.1 miles north on SR 314 from Nuby's Corner (junction of SR 40 and SR 314). Turn left at the Fore Lake sign and continue 0.7 miles to the recreation area.
