Within Alpine Lakes Wilderness. This valley-bottom trail may be muddy in places beyond the junction of the Meadow Creek Trail #1559.

Horse feed is available in the basin 2 miles from Stuart Pass.

  • Maximum group size is twelve (total number of people and stock).
  • Use certified weed-free or commercially processed stock feed only.

Passes: A valid Recreation Pass required at Jack Trout trailhead.

General Information

Directions:

The trail begins at the Jack Trout Trailhead located 18 miles up the Icicle Creek Road #7600.  The trail ends at Stuart Pass at the junction of the Ingalls Creek Trail #1215.
