Wildhorse Creek Trail #1592
WARNING: To those planning to hike out through Frosty Pass and Icicle Creek Trail -- The bridge over French Creek 1.5 miles up Icicle Creek Trail #1551 is broken due to damage from heavy winter snowpack and is unsafe to cross. There is no way to ford the creek due to high water. No access beyond bridge on Icicle Creek Trail. It is not known when bridge will be replaced. See Photos of Bridge
The Wildhorse Creek Trail is a very scenic trail beginning in old forest and climbing steadily into high and scenic subalpine country. Many longer excursions can be continued from this trail, offering wildness and solitude. It starts at the junction with the Whitepine Creek Trail #1582, about 2.5 miles from the White Pine Trailhead. It climbs to Frosty Pass where it meets the Icicle Ridge Trail #1570. It then descends as the Frosty-Wildhorse Trail #1592 into the Icicle Creek valley. This trail is within Alpine Lakes Wilderness

General Information
Directions:The trail begins 2.5 miles up the White Pine Creek Trail #1582 from the White Pine Trailhead located at the end of White Pine Road #6950. From Leavenworth, WA head southwest on US-2 W and follow for 21.5 miles. Turn left onto White Pine Road #6950 and follow to the end.
The trail ends at the Icicle Creek Trail #1551.
