This trail was constructed in 1980 to access the Upper Lyman area. It takes you past Lyman Lake into the meadows of Upper Lyman where you can reach Lyman Glacier and Phelps Creek Pass, which drops into Spider Meadows. Camping is available around the junction with the Hart/ Lyman Lake Trail. There is very little firewood along the trail and recommended the use of stoves, not open campfires. Please use existing camping sites. Lyman Lake is closed to camping and fires with in 200 feet of the lakeshore. Within in the Glacier Peak Wilderness.

The majority of The Chelan Ranger District hiking and camping areas are only accessible by boat or ferry. The Lady of the Lake II provides up lake travel from Chelan to Stehekin with stops available at Fields Point, Prince Creek, Moore Point, and Lucerne. Please check their website for availability, fees, and scheduling.

From Chelan, boat up Lake Chelan to Lucerne. Hike or ride up Railroad Creek Road #3100 to the end of the road-Holden Village asks that hikers reserve bus space in advance this may be done by email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Round trip bus fare is $15 per person; $10 one way.The Holden Ball Park Campground is located one mile out of the village. Hike up Hart and Lyman Lakes Trail #1256 for 7 ½ miles to junction with Lyman Lake Trail #1256.2.
There are two main parking areas (for a fee) for up lake travel when using the Lady of the Lake services. The Boat Company dock in Chelan and Field’s Point Landing, located 17 miles out of Chelan on the South Shore road.
