Knox Creek Trail #1315.1


Trail begins in a large grassy hillside, climbs steadily to a ridgetop, and ties into Kachess Ridge Trail 1315. This trail is the primary access to Thorp Mountain Lookout. Continue north on 1315 for 0.5 mile, then north on 1315.2 another 0.5 mile to the lookout. The lookout is sometimes staffed and provides an outstanding panorama. There is no water along this trail but there is a spring 0.25 mile north of trail 1315.2, along trail 1315.

Directions:

From I-90 Exit 80 west of Cle Elum, WA, go north through Roslyn, and onto Highway 903 to Lake Cle Elum, then follow county road to Forest Road 4308, then turn left (west) on 4308 to 4308-120, then northwest to trailhead.


Parking:

There is parking for 6 vehicles. No facilities.
