Van Epps Creek Trail #1594

This trail is within Alpine Lakes Wilderness. It originates at a junction with the Jack Creek Trail #1558 at about 8.5 miles from the Jack Trout Trailhead.  It quickly climbs into the Van Epps Creek drainage to reach an old mining camp in about 4 miles at 5200 feet.  It joins the Van Epps Jeep Trail #4W302 at the mine site.  It is seldom maintained.  Expect solitude once away from the jeep trail!
