Falls Creek Trail #518

Trail begins at the end of Falls Creek Forest Service Road #5140 and ends at a junction with the Burch Mountain Trail (#538) and Eightmile Ridge Trail (#523).  The trail gradually climbs along Falls Creek to reach a basin at 4.5 miles.  After the basin, the last 1.2 miles of trail is difficult to follow, as it climbs steeply up the headwall of the valley to the top of Eightmile Ridge and the three-way junction.  From the junction, the top of Burch Mt. is accessed via a 0.3 mile very steep climb on the Burch Mt. Trail.

The entire trail has been affected by recent wildfires, the first 4.5 miles by the 2014 Falls Creek Fire and the last 1.2 miles by the 2017 Diamond Creek Fire.
