Scatter Creek Trail #427
This trail enters Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness and climbs to Scatter Lake. First 500 feet is roadbed and Twisp River Trail. Switchbacks up through forest with occasional views. Crosses stream at 3 miles; subalpine forest and meadows continue up to the lake. Views of the Sawtooth Range and Abernathy Ridge. Wildflowers blooming along the trail during July put on a fine color display. Stock users camp in meadow approximately 1 mile before lake. Vegetation around the lake is fragile and firewood is scarce.

General Information
Directions:From Twisp, drive west on Twisp River Road (county road 9114) for 12 miles, the road then becomes Forest Service Road 44. drive about 4 miles on Forest Service Road 44 to where road becomes Forest Service Road 4440 when the road becomes a gravel road. Drive about 3.4 miles on road 4440 to the trailhead road on right (Forest Service Road 4440-395) turn right and drive to trailhead parking.
