Basin Creek Trail #360

This 6 mile trail travels northeasterly up Basin Creek. Trail is mostly a continuous climb up the creek drainage with some steeper pitches so is considered a more difficult level trail. Due to the aftermath of the Tripod Fire in 2006, some parts of the trail may be difficult to find and traverse due to erosion and dense reproduction on the trail. Approximately 3 miles up the trail it follows a ridgeline to the north of Basin Creek to Topaz Mountain with very scenic views to the north and west of Haig Mountain and Cathedral Peak, along with many others. Subalpine larch and Whitebark pine are evident near Topaz Mountain. Basin Creek Trail ties in with Windy Peak Trail #342.
