Fish Creek Trail #1248
This 3.8 mile trail provides access into the Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness from the Lakeshore Trail #1247 via the Fish Creek drainage. Rattlesnakes and ticks are common in spring. The trail is maintained yearly up to the junction with North Fork Fish Creek Trail #1248.1. Much of this trail was burned in 2001 with very high intensity burn area starting at 1 mile from the Lakeshore Trail. The only safe place to camp on the Fish Creek Trail is at Dilly Dally Camp near the end of the trail.

Parking:
There are two main parking areas (for a fee) for up lake travel when using the Lady of the Lake services. The Boat company dock in Chelan and Field’s Point Landing, located 17 miles out of Chelan on the South Shore road.

The Lady of the Lake and Stehekin Ferry provide commercial passenger ferry service between Chelan, Fields Point Landing, and Stehekin with stops available at Fields Point, Prince Creek, Moore Point, Lucerne and other locations along Lake Chelan. These commercial ferry services provide a variety of transportation options for the public. Boat Launches
Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park is a popular boat launch for accessing many up lake recreation sites via personal boat. Please check their website for amenities, fees, and schedule: parks.wa.gov/293/Twenty-Five-Mile-Creek
There are also boat launches from Manson, Chelan and Lake Chelan State Park. Click here to visit chelanpud.org for more information on the boat launches around Lake Chelan. None of these launches are managed by the Chelan Ranger District.
Boating Distances
From Chelan, boat approximately 42 miles up lake to Moore Point Campground on the north shore.
OR
From Chelan, travel south on Highway 97A for 3 miles. Turn right onto Southshore Road and go approximately 17 miles to Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park. From the Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park boat launch, boat approximately 24 miles to Moore Point Campground on the north shore.
Getting to trail from campground
From Moore Point Campground, hike up Moore Point Trail #1247.1 to junction with Lakeshore Trail #1247. Hike north (up lake) on the Lakeshore Trail until the junction with Fish Creek Trail #1248.
