Horton Butte Trail #1250A
This trail within the Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness starts on the Fish Creek Trail #1248 and crosses Fish Creek on a foot log. After the foot log, the trail gets quite steep; gaining 400 feet elevation in less than a mile. Only the first 1 mile, up to Round Lake, is maintained annually. The trail continues up the ridge to Horton Butte but has not been maintained since 1995 and is not scheduled for any maintenance in the foreseeable future. The maintained portion of this trail is within the 2001 high intensity burn area and it is not safe to camp in this area.
